Found leak in reservoir, replaced it, replaced coolant, now it will almost start but won't keep running, like it's not getting fuel
Honestly it sounds like you eighter blow a head gasket or the intake manifold gasket. Do you see white steamy smoke coming out the tail pipe or if you pull the dip stick out do you see white fomey yellowish **** on the stick .Or if you look inside the antifreeze reseveor or radiator cap oil floating on top of the antifreeze. If any of these things are happening then the problem is antifreeze is leaking into one or more of the cylinders and the vehicle will not run good and this will reck the engine fast if not repaired quickly. So look for oil in the antifreeze or antifreeze in the engine oil

No need for a diagram, to drain the oil, there's a drain plug on the bottom of the transfer box, under the handbrake drum. To fill, the fill plug is about in line with the centre of the handbrake drum and to the left. I think both plugs are 1/2" square. Fill to overflow with Texaco Multi-Gear 75W/90R. Takes about 2L or so.

Observe the engine running in the dark to see if there are any spark jumps from the wires or coil, you may have a carbon track.....
SOURCE: default code P1451 Land Rover Discovery II
The code P1451 on a Land Rover is "Leakage Detection Module Motor power stage error Drive cycle A:Signal out of range - above maximum". This is an OBD-II diagnostic system code. As far as I know, a 1995 Land Rover Discovery does not use a OBD-II system. Is it possible that this rover is a later model year

If you're standing looking at the rear of the vehicle, it's on the chassis rail on the right hand side rear wheel arch.

drove approx. 2 miles before shutting vehicle off. it tries to start but appears to not be getting fuel. Is there an electronic sensor to shut off fuel when overheating occurs and if so does it need to be reset before it will start?
have filled radiator and reservoir with coolant and checked for additional leaks, none found. it will just not start
