The 93 and 94 1L engines are interchangeable EXCEPT for some 'extended' engine parts. The throttle bodies are different, intake manifold sensors may be different, 02 sensor is different, and the timing belt/gears may be different. 93s with four bolts in the crankshaft pulley have square toothed belt/sprockets. Five bolt versions have round toothed belt/sprockets. All 94s have round tooth.
As long as they are the same type of engine ( I believe they should both be 1.0L 3 cyl engines). Most parts for the Geo Metro from 1992 to 1994 interchange with out a problem.

the trans depends on 2 wheel drive 4 wheel drive?
