My 2000 Dodge Stratus will not turn over. The headlights, tail lights, break lights, and lights inside work. My radio, windshield wipers, and blinkers will not work. When I turn the key, there is absolutely no sound at all. I drove the car on Thursday and on Friday morning the problem surfaced. If anyone knows what the issue can please I would really appreciate the help in finding an answer.

first you want to make sure your engine is not seized, do this byy taking a wrench and turning the engine manually with the crank shaft, thats the one all the ay on the bottom, if it does not move your engine seized.

if it is not seized, check all of your battery cables to make sure they are not corroded or greasy, as an extra measure you may want to clean the neg cable at the block to make sure it is getting connection.

SOURCE: How do you change a headlight in a 2002 Dodge Stratus?

There are two bolts that need to be removed. You can identify them by the washer sitting underneath them. Remove the plug going into the lamp. Then, pull out (it will probably have to be forceful) the entire casing. You will see a large black ring. Remove this and then you should be able to pull out the light plug. Insert the new bulb and just put everything back together.

popohead, if people thought it was easy, they wouldn't be here asking. Your reply is useless.

To remove the pins, look a them closely. Notice that there's two little notches cut into the cup that holds the pin. Use a flathead on each side to leveredge them out a little. If that doesn't work at all, you can use a pair of pliers to firmly grip the head of the pin and pull straight out. Quick firm pull.

Once the first pin comes out, the second pin should easily come out. At that point, firmly grip your taillight housing, and pull straight back: Don't try to wiggle it out, and don't try to lift it to one side or the other like a trunk or door. Just pull it firmly straight back like you would a dresser drawer.

Once it's out, the little wiring harnesses come out of the taillight housing with about a 1/4 turn, and the bulbs just slide straight out of those.

Good luck!

Windshield wipers turn on when i turn my lights on

these are 2 differant circuits, look @ wire diagram, this is very odd, unless these 2 circuits are touching each other, can you turn your headlights on with wiper switch ? probably not ! had to ask ! there may be a power wire from headlight touching power wire from wiper ! trace these wires from each switch, see what you find , maybe just from separating these wires solves your problem !!! good like

No tailights on a 2000 dodge stratus all other lights work in back replaced all bulbs still have no tail lights

there is a fuse in the fuse panel for the tail lights.check this out first as the tail lights are on a separate circuit from the other lights in the back.fuse panel is under the dash on the drivers side.there is also one under the hood.if the fuse is good its possible that there is a problem with the headlight switch on the tail light circuit side of the switch.if this is okay then its possible that there is a wiring problem from the switch to the tail lights but this rarely happens.
