The air filter is in the engine cover. the engine cover is also the air filter box. you have to pull the cover off. then flip it over and there are 4 screws holding the air filter. loosen those screws then take the air filter out, replace it and put the screws back on, then gently put the cover back ontop of the engine. make sure you fit the four holes with the the four studs exactly

SOURCE: Looking for the air filter to replace it

look for a round plastic tubing leading from the motor. will be a large diameter. the end away from the motor should have a large black plastic box closed by either screws or clips.... remove those clips and you will find the filter.
