These are tricky codes as they apply to the transmission and the safety features to prevent the vehicle from moving when its not supposed to move. There are many things that could cause these codes and they could also be codes tripped erroneously. To clear these codes remove negative cable from battery. Touch the negative cable to positive for one second. Reattach negative cable to battery. Start vehicle,....drive away happy........OR you will need to replace parts. Shift solenoid more than likely.

P1782 P/ES Circuit Out Of Self Test Range
P1787 2-1 Downshift Error
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request) Malfunction

Here is the deal, u have some serious transmission related faults, in order to sort this out u will need to take this to the dealer, allot of testing is required to get to the bottom of this, if I had to guess I would say the trans is going to have to be overhauled.

SOURCE: 2007 chrysler sebring will not

It is your shifter assembly. Should be able to take the trim panel off and use something to press the bypass switch to get it out of park. I've seen a bunch of these go bad.

I assume that you have to press the brake pedal in order to shift from park (ie:safety switch) you might first check to see if you have brake lights as they should be on the same circut and operated by the same switch. If the lights dont work, check the fuses could be a simple fix. Hope this helps

The check engine light came on probably because it detected an error with your car. In this case, it sounds like the error is with your transmission. Most likely a bad solenoid. Bring the car to a place like Autozone where they will scan your car for free to retrieve the code(s) that will point to where the issue is.

    2006 Sebring Convertible - Transmission Codes - P0700, P0720, & P0731....
2006 Sebring Convertible, started while driving around town - transmission did not want to shift and CEL came on. Stopped, checked transmission fluid and looked for anything obvious. All fluids good, nothing obvious. About 5 miles from home, drove back roughly 15-20 mph. Only other issue that had came to mind was the alternator had been making a whining noise for some time, probably 3 months or so - had mentioned to wife that we should replace it before it completely failed. Found one reference on the internet that the alternator could cause weird electrical conditions / interference if bad - leaking voltage back through ground. Thinking the alternator likely needed replacing anyway, I replaced it and cleared codes - all issues were solved - no more alternator whining and all transmission issues resolved. Replaced alternator on Sept 9, 2019 today is Sept 12, 2021 and still going - I think its safe to say the alternator was the culprit in this instance.

I have a 2006 Dodge Durango. It has no power at take off and will not shift into high gear have two trouble codes which are P0750,P0700(that came from auto zone). Does anyone know what the trouble codes...

    P0750-Low Reverse SOLENOID CIRCUIT

This DTC is strictly an electrical fault and cannot be caused by any internal transmission failure other than an open in the Transmission Solenoid/TRS Assembly. If the Transmission Solenoid/TRS Assembly is in need of replacement - do not replace the Valve Body.

To replace the TRS assembly you need to remove the valve body first and then the TRS assembly is mounted on top of the valve body.

Code PO740 and PO700 show on scanner for 2002 Chrysler Sebring LX. What's going on?

Best to have a transmission place work on this.
Here are the meaning of the codes:
    P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction

It maybe cheap to fix like a bad sensor. Or it maybe something serious going on. Best to have a transmission shop check it out.
    Good luck.
