Parklights, headlights dashlights will not work at all. you can turn the switch on but nothing happens but the "lights" light comes on in the dash all fuses that i have checked are good every thing else works "turn signals, brake lights. I dont know what the deal is with it dont know what else to do.
Reflecting on the year model 1986-, the switch has possibly run out of service, if you want to diy, you can take switch apart, clean the contacts, sometimes there is a greasy build up and a electrical contact cleaner in aerosol container can solve that problem(grease build up), but if it feels a bit loose when switching I would just replace the switch . You can also check the fuse box, there might be a bad "earth"connection, and if you have the ability and tools, you can measure if the 12 v from battery reaches the fuse box and measure at the light if you are getting any voltage there.Wiring looms become brittle, and the connectors build up rust dust and oxidation, soldering joints can become less effective.Start with basics and easy to tell and work by process of elimination.
What type of vehicle?
-Possibly the main fuse or possibly there is a relay for all of those circuits.
Check it out.
Good luck

Yes, there is a fusible link that powers both headlight fuses.http://www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/Wd/Downl...
However, the tail light power seems to be coming from the accessory relay. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it may just be the headlight switch.

turb up your potenciometer to max. There is a potenciometer/switch if you will, that darkens and brightens the dash lights. Your's is turned down. Turn it to the right all the way. It has a small bulb logo on the piece. That's it.

Your year Pathfinder, as mine, had a slew of bad head light switches. The headlight switches caused a slurry of intermediate nightmares for a lot of customers. Many complaints included:
1. My head lights sometimes turn off upon switching from low to high beams.
2. My lights turn completely off when I switch to high beams.
3. My lights flicker when I switch from high to low beams and vise verse.
4. My lights sometime wont turn on at all.
5. My lights go on and off on bumpy roads.
6. My lights sometimes come on by themselves.
All of these different but similar complaints contribute to the infamous head light switch. There has even been reports of continuous dead battery's due to the head light switch turning the lights on and off intermittently and eventually deadening the battery.
The light switch is relatively easy to replace. Simply remove the the two upper and lower steering column covers, disconnect the two wiring harness bulk head connectors, a couple screws and wallah.
Remember your safety and always dissconncet your your battey upon electrical repairs.
Just last week I bought a new head light switch for about $70.00. I would highly recommend buying a new head headlight switch and not buying a junkyard special. You will likely be buying another faulty switch.
Good luck!!!!

If its just the lights, then probably the headlight switch. If radio problem is related then possibly a bad ignition switch.
