You have gotten two problems. First your Vehicle Theft Security System (ignition inhibit feature) has been activated. To disarm it just enter the key and rotate either door or liftgate. If this does not work, locate under in the hinge of the driver door module a violet wire with a brown tracer, put a jumper between that line and ground. That single action should allow you to start the engine. Now, the second problem is dash lights. With the ignition off, you turn the headlamp switch to the right and the dash panel should light. If it doesn't you need to start looking a the basics, that is, fuses/breakers, voltage, ground, the switch itself.
Let me be clear here. Crank means turn. Ignite means start running. So it will crank but not ignite and ur sure u have 35psi of fuel pressure. Next is to have someone gently wiggle the wires at the engine control unit while u turn the key
This chime is also the same chime used for the doors. To remove this you will also be losing the ignition chime when the keys are in the ignition or when the doors open. It can be removed simply by unplugging it. Just open the door with the keys in the ignition, look under the dash on the driver or passenger side. using you good hearing locate the chime and simply disconnect the plug from the back.
Try and relearn the key to the ignition, turn the key on,leave it on for ten minutes, and then turn it off,and right back on,do this two more times,a total of three times and thirty minutes, this will relearn the ignition to the key,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.
There is an issue with your transponder key. Call a locksmith and have them reprogram the key you have into the computer. I do this all the time. Depending on who changed out the ignition they may have don't damage to the reader that surrounds the ignition. Sometimes they don't put it back in the right spot and it won't read the key.
You probably recently had a new key made, and the Jeep ignition is chipped. The key has a sensor, and must be programmed to match the ignition. Some will start till you put it in gear, then it shuts off.
You can adjust the switch by putting your thumbs on either side of the switch plunger and pushing toward the brake lever. The switch shaft will ratchet into the new position which is will then be depressed by the brake lever when it is the brake is not being depressed.
