Trying to figure out why the emergency brake light indicater stays on all the time after I release the parking brake.
Their must be switch somewhere at the back of the pedal that touches earth when you apply the brake ,put you glasses on get a torch and have a look.Never worked on one or evan seen one of these motors so i cant tell you where it is but it will have one and on an old vehicle like this it will be simple
There is a problem with the switch on your parking brake. my suggestion is, disassemble the switch and test with a multimeter if it's busted then replace it or repair the switch if you can.
There is a pressure switch, that gets depressed or released due to pedal position. When you engage the PB the arm is depressed...releasing the pin-like pressure switch.
Examine the pedal itself...looking where it 'touches' the car.
Depress the pedal....while watching this place. Look for a 'pin-like' switch that is allowed to extend when the parking brake is engaged, and that would be depressed in when the arm is released/disengaged.

The switch is just a steel cable with electronics around it. So where would you put the multimeter at.
