My fuse box has missing fuses need a diagram so i know what fuse goes where and the amp!

Usually on the inside of the Fuse Box Cover. The faults could also be related to failed relays.

Chilton's Manual 1983-92 is almost useless.. says to check the covers. With that many items seeming to be electrical (& likely fuse) related, I think I'd buy a pack of fuses & replace all of the bad ones, & keep some spares around. ALTHOUGH... for the window defogger, environmental control sys., power door locks,power tailgate lock, sunroof & shoulder belt it DOES say to check the circuit breaker in the driver's side (or passenger side) kick panel with the fuses.
There is a reset hole (might try a pulled open paper clip... amazing how these can come in handy & how cheap these are! Not having a silly paper clip can be a real pain! Try keeping a few in the glove box! ) If it re-trips immediately. Use an ohm meter to check both terminals of the breaker. Chilton's says if not "as specified, replace the circuit breaker."

To change the breaker, turn the key off, disconnect the neg (-) battery cable, unlock the circuit breaker stopper, then pull it from the socket.replace (do same in reverse to re-install, making sure you have the same amp breaker as the one you pulled, if you need to replace it.)
*NOTE: I'd suggest checking a junk yard for a cover plate for your fuse box. It might save you a big hassle over a little thing on the road in the future. (Or at least keep the owner's manual in the dash) Having the cover on can keep moisture, dirt, etc. out of your fuse box, so I'd see if you can find one in a junk yard... just be sure same engine, year etc. (or if it fits & is a different config. of fuss, I'd copy the one (re-size if necessary) the schematic from the owner's manual, laminate it (a lot of copy shops can do this for you), the adhere it to the inside over the incorrect diagram. That way you'll know what fuse goes to what & there should be a puller tool & space for extra fuses in there (or yo can put them in the glove box.)

I hope this helps a little, you said the fuse box panel is gone....so how do you know some fuses are missing?

I just bought a 1988 silverado also, the wipers ,power windows and windshield washer fluid only work "when they want to" I think I have a bad ground somewhere.
