Pressure test readings were fine. It did not appear the coolant was flowing. Car had been sitting in a garage for a week and was driven less than five miles befor the indicator lights casme on. Cooant was comint out the topo of the overflow container. On diagnostics the water pump did not show up as a problem.

He first thing is a compression test to check for gasket or cracks ( any qualified mechanic will know that)
next is to check if the scan tool in use has the right protocol for bmw electronics
there are plenty of manual checks that can be done without resorting to a scan tool

SOURCE: 2006 Dodge Magnum keeps overheating

Observe the car's engine as it runs for 10 minutes to ensure that the electric fan for the radiator is coming on, if not either the fan relay, fan's coolant temp. sensor, or the fan itself is bad, try the relay first it is the least expensive, if this is the type of vehicle that has no electric fan replace the clutch fan.

SOURCE: 2003 BMW 325xi won't start, dashboard and radio go on.

My 2003 325xi died on the highway a few weeks ago, and I thought it was the battery. It turned out to be the alternator, which was an expensive problem to repair. If your battery is new, it could be the alternator, or a problem with the electrical system. I find the BMWs to be too complicated electrically, which often leads to problems! I'd check your alternator...

SOURCE: How do you reset the Service light on 2006 BMW 325

Hi , to reset the service light you will need to insert the key and turn the ignition lights on but do not start the engine. you will see a push button on the lower left side of the instrument panel press and hold this until you have a triangle appear which then turns to the brake warning symbol , release the push button then press and hold the bc button in the indicator arm until reset appears , release and again press and hold the bc button until you have a moving clock symbol appear , release the bc button and wait for the display to change , once this has reset turn off the ignition and the service symbol should have reset . you may want to print these instructions before resetting , regards Mark.

Witch fuse is the licence plate light fuse for my 2003 bmw 325 xi

I would say its the same fuse that the lights use. If the tail lights work, its probably not the fuse but the globe or the wiring to the globe or a poor earth.

Re: air bubble in my bmw 325 xi coolant. Is it harmful to the engine to drive it about 147 miles back home before I get it bled out?

BMWs are very sensitive to overheating, can get very expensive. Bleeding the radiator takes a minute of two, A straight blade screwdriver, just slowly unscrew plastic screw until anti freeze begins to stream out.
