Dirty terminals, seen it a hundred times. They have to be squeaky clean. Check it out.

SOURCE: 1998 f250, new starter, new battery, just clicks,

What was the starter doing before you changed it?What was the initial problem?See if the engine will turn manually by turning the crankshaft or flywheel.

Testimonial: "cleaned all terminals, did bench check, starter now engages, but unfortunatly wont turn over"

I have a 87 f150 4x4 wont start with the key has new starter, solonoid switch and new ignition switch but it starts fine when I jump the solonoid

If you are saying that the vehicle will turn over only when jump started and nothing when not connected to another vehicle then I would check the earth connection from battery!

I was driving down the raod the gauges went out then the truck died check betterys they have 11.79v but it want turn over at all it just clicks

The "clicking" is most likely your solonoid. Either your battery is low or the solonoid is not engaging (faulty) and needs to be replaced. If the truck died and the battery is low - I would check the alternator, since once the vehicle is running the alternator should put out enough power to charge the battery and keep the vehicle running even if the battery is bad. Let me know. Thanks

Starting my 200 chevy venture

either replace ur ignition switch or replace ur starter solonoid
when u turn on ignition switch u should get a click fron a relay under dash listen for that and if u hear a click then u need to replace solonoid on starter or replace whole starter motor also clean and inspect battery cable good luck with this project
