Will a 1997 3.3 Nissan Pathfinder engine be good to swap out a 2004 3.5 Nissan Pathfinder engine ??

From what I can tell the knock sensor for the 97 & the 99 are the same part., So the swap should work.

THE BEST WAY TO KNOW WHERE YOUR SENSOR IS AT IS TO ASK THE PARTS DEPARTMENT WHEN YOU ORDER IT FOR YOUR CAR. THEY WILL GIVE YOU A PHOTO OF THE LOCATION FOR THE ENGINE YOU REQUESTED . GOOD LUCK

The answer to your question is, yes it will. The mounts are the same and as long as you are staying with the same transmission auto/auto or standard/standard then it should be an easy swap as far as swaps go. I own a 95 Pathfinder as well, but my 3.0 is still running strong, but if it goes, then I'll replace with a 3.3 as well. The 3.0 is slightly under powered. Service engine soon light is on because the computer has found an error, and may not have anything to do with oil. Get it scanned to see what the diagnostic trouble code is.

You will have to take off the heads and check the valves. Your valves might be bent. But do not try to crank the engine again.

HI any nissan dealer should be able to get key codes for you just give them the vin number they normally charge for this but not to much ,they wil usually ask for some id and proof it's your car steve

Hi. be sure you clean your battery cables , should check your starter, starter relay ,fuses, if nothing hapens check ignition suitch,, good luck
