Thanks for choosing FixYa. It could be a few different things actually. I would start with the basics, such as fuel filter, vacuum leaks, and air filter. I would suggest checking the fuel pressure, just in case it is a fuel injector. It could also be in the ignitions, such as bad plugs, wires, coil pack ect. If you have a check engine light on, try and get the codes. Since it later runs ok, it may just be a simple leak or stopped up filter. Make sure all your hoses are on tight as well.

Mine does also. told to try a genuine GM delco oil filter (haven't done that yet though) If it subsides after warmup, it is a sticky valve which I am told is too expensive to fix unless it just bothers you too much. Other than that, it's a GM thing and get use to it. :(

Hesitation while exceleration

Have these things checked for #1:
Spark plug
plug wire
#1 fuel injector
and the throttle position sensor, also have a fuel pressure test done, especially for the hesitation.
