How to get the oxidation off of the body of a 1994 camaro without using a buffer

How can you get the oxidation off of the body of the car without using a buffer/polisher? I want to do this by hand. Your help is appreciated.

I can imagine why you wouldn't want to use a buffer to get the oxidation off of your Camaro. My car is also struggling with its body. It's not as nice as yours is, but there has recently been quite a bit of rust buildup. We could probably both benefit from finding somewhere that does car body restorations. http://www.actautobodyworks.com.au/servi...

Try cleaning the throttle body and the idle speed control valve, they get full of sludge and this causes stalling. Use a product called CRC Throttle valve cleaner on both parts, DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER IT WILL RUIN THE PARTS.

I have a 1993 camaro z28 that will not rev over 3000 rpms In any gear. It acts like I hit a rev limiter. I have replaced the tps, plugs, wires, icm, coil and distributor. And it does that same thing.

Most likely you have. Some cars have a buffer module that goes bad. I'll take that back . All cars have them. Some older ones have the buffer outside the engine control module. It can be replaced. The other ones are built into the ECM, and the ECM has to be replaced.

Camaro LT1 runs great, but idle speed varies when hot

The fan should come on and should flash 1 then 2 for normal operation. Your IAC valve on the throttle body should be cleaned or replaced. After reinstall , turn key to on position for 1 min. then off for 1 min. To reset.

Rubbing compound will buff off the oxidation that effects (clouds) the outside surface of plastics. Some waxes have a little abrasive that will help do this. Toothpaste will also work mixed with wax. Use some muscle and buff til it is dry to restore the plastic gloss. Shops use an electric or pneumatic buffer with a wool or foam pad and extra fine rubbing compound.

1994 camaro z28 electrical system dead

A couple of things can be the cause. You could have an issue with your battery connection, or your ignition switch is dead. Ignition switch issues tend to kill all the power to the car. They can go without warning. It's located on the driver's side on the steering column.

Hello, there is a door on either side of the front bumper held in place with two screws, remove the screws the door comes down. Feel for the connector, might be a push tap/turn release. Rasing the body up a little may help for better access

if you are not the original owner then the previos owner may have set the idle higher htan normal, take off the throttle body then unscrew the little screw, SOME, if your car runs at a high but rough idle then you may have a vacuum leak.
