2003 Hyundai Santa Fe Still Will Not Start PO320 PO340

Again: 2.4 L engine, 4 cylinders, manual transmission, dual overhead cam and it got it's oil changed, new battery and now a new timing belt. My car still will not start after having died while I was driving it. I got codes saying PO320 and PO340. I know one is for camshaft sensor and the other is related to the crankshaft sensor. I don't know where the crankshaft sensor is located and am asking where it is? I also would like to know if anyone has had these codes before and found a solution. Any experience with this issue will sure be helpful.

SOURCE: Hyundai Sonata 2000 model 4

Hi there. I can solve this dangerous problem you are having. You would loose acceleration at lights and intersections, the engine will shake and revs can go crazy. The issue is the MAF (mass air flow) sensor. It was recalled in 2001 as a safety problem as people died driving this model of sonata. If you connect your comp up to a diagnostic machine you will find its the MAF the problem is a problem that is hard to ctah on a diagnostic machine though as it comes and goes. You will need to replace the MAF ASAP as you can die from this fault and hyundai will not care due to the age of this car.

try resetting adaptive values to see if that helps. remove both battery cable terminals and hold them together for about 30 seconds to discharge all power. reconnect and drive.

To locate and change the the (4) spark plugs on a 2003 Hyundai 2.4L 4 cylinder engine:
Remove the (4) 12mm bolts from the decorative plastic engine cover. Remove plastic cover from engine and place it off to the side out of your way.
Standing in front of the car, the (4) spark plugs are located laterally (left to right) in the recessed area underneath where the plastic engine cover was removed.
