Code p0741 trans acts like in neutral but, if you turn key off and back on it will work normal again till you come to a stop

that will not work u need MBXA no sensors will work or the
trans will not shift

P0741 ** TCC, internal components TCC slippage detected The PCM picked up an excessive amount of slippage during normal vehicle operation. TCC slippage/erratic or no torque converter clutch operation. Flashing Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL).

Just because you installed a new part, do not assume it can't be bad. This happens alot with aftermarket parts. When you change just a minor part and a problem develops, good idea to double check both your work and the new parts.

P0507 Higher idle speed than expected partially stuck open thermostat engine running colder than normal raises idle speed. Small vacuum leak raises idle speed. sticking throttle cable holding throttle plate open.

1983 cadillac's can not set these code's . pre OBD2 vehicles do not set P0741 codes .

This is likely not a simple fix. Sounds like the transmission is kaput -- needs a visit to the garage.

Solenoids usually set a code that can be checked with a code reader.
Make sure that the oil in your transmission is full and clean...solenoids can get gummed up by varnish if trans is not serviced properly.

The problem is one of a few things. Bad or low fluid. shift solinoid in the trans going bad. or pump in the trans getting very weak.

this is best checked by a service shop specializing in trans work.
