Question about 1990 Chevrolet K1500
When truck is cold it idles smooth as soon as it warms up it will idle rough and stalls
An expert who has achieved level 3 by getting 1000 points
Remove the EGR you have carbon,that is keeping the pintle open,if there is no carbon and the pintle is open replace it.

I had the same exact problem on my 2004 Colorado (3.5L). Cleaned the MAF sensor (with MAF sensor cleaner) and throttle body/plate - cleared it right up.

Have you O2 sensors checked out. I have blowen out 2 on the same bank, sounds like the same problem. Check engine light will stay on solid, blink for a while, solid. Surefire way to check is run your finger in the tailpipe after it is cooled down. If it is very black with soot, then it probably is the O2 sensor.

You may want to adjust the idle on the carb (if it is carbed). Also check the air fuel mixture.

The problem you are describing, is due to the mass airflow sensor, being out of spec. A new one will surely correct, the said problem.Also try a new Idle air compansator switch,in combination with the before described mass air flow sensor. I hope this help's.

It can be issue
with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem.
There
are many other possibilities causing these idle issues. Engine idles rough.
