If the car doesn't sound funny or run rough you probably have a bad oxygen sensor. Ask a parts store for a replacement, it will be located on your exhaust pipe near the engine. It is a very simple part to replace, just unscrews like a spark plug and has a wire harness.

Make sure you have the plug wires on the correct plug. Check the ignition timming to make sure it is correct. After running for a few minutes pull the pluggs to see whitch cylinders are running rich. The fuel pressure and volume need to be tested.

Additionally, try checking the power transistor. I will send the test. Also make sure the coil has a good ground...

How did you check the compression? A simple and fast way is to remove a spark plug and hold a finger over the hole, with the coil unplugged, and have a helper crank the engine. What has probably happened if you have lost compression is that the timing belt broke resulting in the valves contacting the pistons, in this case the best option for repair would be to find a good used engine (from a reputable salvage yard with a warranty) and do a swap.

There are three sensors on the transmission that tell the computer how fast your going so it knows to upshift, have someone check input sensor,output sensor,and speed sensor.

Have you been told to change the transmission fluid and filter? Read this first before you do some job: www.myhonestmechanic.com/articles/transmission_slipping.

Also could try to scanned the trans module, to know is some fault code is stored there.
