How do I replace a clutch 2000 eclipse - 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse

if it is a cable clutch then replace the cable as it is wearing out. If hydraulic check for correct operation of the clutch master cylinder as the clutch rod is non-adjustable.

The easiest way that I have found to do this it to find the clutch slave cylinder, look for a release bolt or something that looks like a grease fitting, have a friend fill the clutch slave resovior with brake fluid, and loosen the release bolt. Tell them to pump a few times and then hold the clutch pedal until you see fluid shoot out then close it, repeat the process, untill there is no air in the lines

If is is a standard it may be the clutch is gone.

Possible the fly wheel has no teeth left. That would be the humming sound.
