Electrical problem 2005 Nissan Xterra 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 68000 miles I have a 2005 Nissan Xterra, 68,000 miles. There are 2 cigarrette lighter/power sockets on the front dash console. The top one works but the bottom one doesn't. There is also a similar power socket inside of the arm rest box. That one works. Lastly, there is a power socket on in the rear of the car in the cargo area. That one does not work. I tested all the fuses in the fuse box inside the cabin by the glove box and all of the fuses were good. There are also fuses under the engine compartment, but I havent tested those yet.

Remove glove box and in cabin microfilter door will be right there. Note on some Xterras there is no filter installed and the box will need to be cut out in order to install kit. This is a fairly easy task that can be done in the vehicle. Just follow the directions and you should be ok.
SOURCE: Neither of my license plate lights work on my 2006 Nissan Xterra.
it is most likley a wiring problem or the corosion, the license plate lights are tied to the tail lights.
SOURCE: hi... my sunroof, rear def, stering wheel heater
there might be another fuse box in the glove box, or the ground might be bad.
SOURCE: No power to cigarette lighter. have checked and
there are 3 fuses that operate that. #42 (15 amp) power socket, #18 (10 amp) power socket relay (power socket only operates with key on) and #23 (15 amp ) Cig lighter, key on.... have you checked all 3 fuses??
