lost power, 101:
all engines gas need tuneups. ever get that? in last 10 years.?
RPM is low. 2000. RPM is my guess (dial is 1k per mark)
so is NOT transmission slip. so is ENGINE power lost.
lost power, ever put in new spark plugs?
and gap them as the hood sticker shows?
(all answers USA Answers) no actual engine disclosed.. or even the YEAR. 2002 or is it a 2012 car?
3.7L seems the only one.... V6.
lost power has over 50 causes. we use 1 to 10 tools to find it.
we never guess all 50 and go , nop that that.. .next......
my guess is engine misfires (can you feel it do that?)
if yes that is bad spark , most times.
but could be leaking or dead injectors.
if it only bogs,? feels like pulling a 10,000 block of concrete?
then low fuel pressure.
scan the PCM yet>?
Either behind the right front kick panel, or in the trunk you car has a fuel cut-off. If it recieves a hard jarring by being kicked, or the car being hit it will trip and the car will no longer run. This cut off valve has a reset button to press if it is tripped.
Consult your owners manual for its ecxact location.
Also you will have to check the fuse, relay and fuel pump itself (also make sure there is gas in the tank...)
