The actual proble is in the BCM which means body control module, i will first check and make sure that all the grounding cables to this vehicle is tight and clean and if they areok and the problem continues it is time to get a new or rebuilt BCM.

I found that the problem on my Grand Caravan was on the welding mounts where the connector connects to the instrument pannel had come broke,... easy fix. but you have to remove the instrumet cluster.. disaseble it and look at the soldering at that point... mine was clearly broken. a soldering iron and 5 mins of work and woila.. fixed... repair cost $20 and a few hrs of work...

the dealer wanted to replace the istrument cluster and the BCM.. said it was brain dead... they are brain dead..

hopes this helps someone..

Battery indicator light comes on above idle RPM, gauges start fluctuating.

The first thing you need to know is what the alternator output is when this starts happening.
It could be a faulty connection in the wiring harness, or a bad ground connection, or a failing alternator.

My fuel gauge tach gauge speedometer heater temp gauge and driver power seat quit working

check the fuses. they are under the back seat just pull up on the lower part of the back seat and it will come out. fuse box is on the drivers side. check to see if water is getting in that could be the cause.

2005 pontiac sunfire

I have the same problem.. i installed a toggle switch for the fuse so at least I can reset it while driving.. its still a pain so Im thinking my next step will be to drill a hole through the plastic and put in a small metal post to stop the tach from going past 7

has anyone taken theirs into a shop?
