Loud wizzing/whistling noise

Whenever i accelerate or decelerate, there is a loud wizzing/whistling noise coming from my car. The mechanic who last had me car over filled the coolant and transmition fluid, could this be the problem? The noise started yesterday, my car has over 130k miles, the odometer stoped at 125,171 miles.

I don't know terms or names but i had the same problem. i found for me it was a whistling coming from the black box w/ hose and air filter that is on the right as you look under the hood. I opened it up and re sealed it and the noise is gone. Sorry I don't know the proper names but for me no more annoying whistle while the engine revs.

What is the cause of a very loud whistle sound when engine speed is very high?

Leaking Vaccum Line or the intake system has a leak between the air filter housing(air box) and the engine's throttle body, that's usually the culprit!

I have a 1999 e150 for van when I let off the gas. Makes a noise what is that

could be any number of things as a noise cannot be described
if it is a whistle sound that would be a vacuum leak because max vacuum is attained during deceleration or taking the foot of the accelerator
the leak could be from a faulty brake booster, vent controls , loose manifold and cracked hoses
other noises can be from broken engine mount rubbers, faulty exhaust mount rubbers, fan over run ( wind noise )
I suggest that you take it to a service dealer or accredited service shop and take the mechanic for a drive and tell him when you hear the noise so that he knows what he is listening for.

I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant. At highway speeds I hear a loud winding noise coming from what sounds like the right front of the car. And also a whistling noise on deceleration.

sounds like you have an hole where air is blowing past. check for any missing screws or holes. if a mounting brace for any hoses or pipes that run under the vehicle have come loose they could whistle as well. if the noise during deceleration only happens when you brake then it's time for new brake pads.
hope this helps

Whistling noise under slight acceleration

check for a cracked manifold or cracked flex section at the manifold
it is under load so it is not a vacuum leak as the vacuum is low under acceleration and high under deceleration or idle
indicates a gas leak or possible blockage from failed cat converter

2002 impala front end noise when accelerating/decelerating

Black the rear wheels, put the car in neutral with the parking brake on, jack up the front end and spin the tires. Once you locate the source of the noise, you can pull the tire off and check the brake pads and rotors.
