I have seen this issue a lot- especially this time of year when it's starting to get pretty cold overnight around here.

If the vehicle won't start right away, stop cranking. Turn the key to the ON position and depress the accelerator about halfway down and then crank the engine.

This should resolve your incident. This is actually the procedure that was supplied to us directly from Nissan for cold weather starting tips.

Because cold starting requires a richer air/fuel mixture, the computer REALLY richens the mixture.

I hope that this is helpful to you!

What's the minimum compression for 2000 Honda TRX 300 atv ? Have 165 psi won't start . Has good spark and fuel.

That is not bad compression, you have something else wrong. IS the fuel good? What is the timing?

Have a 2004 nissan altima plugs getting wet with gas take them out and dry car starts but same problem after 5 6 hrs won't start again what's the problem

Your engine is flooding with fuel which is why you have wet plugs and why you are having problems starting the car. A flooded engine will not start.

It sounds like a recurring flooding problem rather than a one off and the injectors may be leaking. One way or another too much fuel is being delivered by the injectors.

Get the car into Nissan Service and have them check it over and identify the cause.
Here is some information on the flooding problem prepared by a professional master mechanic.

My 2005 Nissan Altima will not turn over. It smells of gas & the spark plugs are wet. After it has been dried, it will start most of the time.

Sounds like a leaking pressure regulator, since one bad injector would only flood one cylinder.
Is it always getting spark to the plugs ? Keep in mind, once the plugs are fuel fouled they are easily fouled again.

So i have a problem with my 2002 grand prix gt it has 120,000 miles on it. i was coming home from work one night and the low coolant light came on it got pretty hot but i made it home. My dad put coolant...

Check for spark at the plugs and check the fuel pressure. Also remove the spark plugs and check for fouled or wet plugs. A plug that is saturated with gas will not spark. Clean the plugs and dry them off and try to start. If all looks good then check cylinder compression to check for a blown head gasket.

1994 camry, won't start. Engine turns over freely, good spark on new plugs, Injectors switching ( tested with light bulb) plugs wet with petrol, checked timing belt, but ok and timing marks line up?

if you have spark and fuel and it is on time it should run if the compression is high enough was this car flooded really bad if so make sure your oil is OK the do a compression check dry and wet you may find when you you do your wet test that it brings the compression up enough to git the car started that would mean that your cylinders were washed out with gas causing the compression to go down

Tune up nissan altima 2.5L model 2002

All you really need is a good set of spark plugs, this car has coil packs so no plug wires distributor caps etc.....Just remove the coil packs and install your plugs and your done. Good luck.

Spark plugs for my 2001 nissan altima is always wet with oils and there is no spark, what's the problem?

The spark plugs are probably wet with petrol, rather than oil.

This happens because they are not firing, and the petrol is not being burnt.

This is mostly likely caused by a faulty ignition system.

Does the car start at all? Does it run roughly?
