If the car has a few miles on it, the clutch may be worn. To test this, put the gearbox in 3rd and let the clutch out slowly while pressing the brake hard. The engine should stall immediately. If it runs on a bit before stalling, the clutch is worn.

At the other extreme, if the clutch is not releasing fully, which causes crunching of the gears, either the clutch hydraulic line needs bleeding, or the clutch cable needs adjusting up, whichever type it is.

How to make mower stop when clutch/brake pedal depressed

Depending on the model and manufacturer of your mower, but it seems like the brakes are the problem.
I have a Murry and it has one disk brake on the rear wheel shaft. The master mechanism for this disk brake needed to be cleaned of dirt and grass clippings. In my case, this helped but brakes only 50% effecient so I use reverse when on an incline.

Hyundai Tucson 2009 high fuel consumption

There are a lot of factors that may contribute to high fuel consumption. Does the engine run ok during normal operation? Rough idle? Check engine light on? Have the oxygen sensors scanned for operating information to determine if the fuel system is operating effeciently by a qualified service center. These sensors monitor the effeciency of the fuel system

Manual trans won,t shift 87f150

When there is an issue with a manual gear box not working after a clutch replacement I am always suspicious that the clutch plate has been fitted the wrong way and the crank bolts are fowling on the cluch plate center . If the gear box was fine before and i now faulty I would go to what was done with the clutch. Also check that the clutck slave cylinder is working ok.

Manual transmission will not disenage the clutch?

If you have a hydraulic clutch (slave cylinder to clutch fork) try bleeding it.
if it leaks you will have to replace it> If it is a manual clutch fork and the clutch starts to grab right off the floor the clutch is woen and will have to be replaced. You might also check the clutch rod for adjustment > in either case make sure the clutch rod is seated in the clutch fork.

My 09 HHR a/c quit working and is blowing hot air even when the fan is off. I hear a click coming from the dash right before it blows hot air. and today I noticed a hissing sound

That hissing sound is the vacuum line knocked off the servo that shuts off the heater core so the AC will work more effeciently. Your getting warmer.

I owned a maruthi swift vdi in india.i heard that a hardware called chip tuning will increase performance in respect of speed and better fuel effeciency for diesel car.is it right??

Yes this is right for a lot of vehicles. But on the side the more your engine works with this extra power and acceleration the faster your engine and transmission will wear out.

My transmission seems to not shift properly. I

forget the manual and throw it into back of garage ,now this expert ?? me only works on manuals because us spanish wouldnt give an auto box house room. Now if its not clearing properly when changing gear or its a job to get into first or reverse when stationary then its a new clutch job, some model cars have an adjustable clutch lever arm but if it gets to that stage where you have adjust it right out to get it to engage then its a new clutch time .Now hondas are not adjustable as such because they are hydraulic operated ,if it has clutch fluid then it sould work ok, but if the master cylinder is scored inside or the rubber is badly worn then could cause the problem ,get assistant to push clutch down and check movement on clutch arm ,if the arm starts to creep back when held down then the master cylinder needs changing ,but if it stays down then the clutch is worn even if it is not slipping ,the diaphragm spring clutch is going weak and the clutch plate isnt clearing ,or the clutch plate has heat distortion and its grabbing
