Might have to put on diagnostic code reader to clear engine light and see if you have a problem,or the abs sensor fault could be stored in ECU needs removing before light god out,try disconnecting battery for half an hour see if this clears the ECU if not diagnostic required

Hand brake light as you call it , will come on when other thing's are wrong in the brake system ,not just when the emergency brake is applied . Low fluid in the master cylinder will turn it on, the ABS control module can have it turned on when their is a ABS problem . etc..... With the ABS , check engine light ,emergency brake light on , code's are stored in the EBCM - electronic brake control module . The speedometer info. come's to the instrument cluster from the EBCM . Probably have a bad wheel speed sensor . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

BAd wheel sensors, bad wiring to the sensors.

Depending on how much brake work was done, either the wheel sensors have been damaged or were not properly reconnected. The regular brake warning light may be on because the ABS is disabled at the moment. Fixing the ABS problem may extinguish the standard warning light too. I suspect the brakes are working but not as an ABS-equipped system.
If you have one of the auto parts chain stores near you, take it to them for a free scan of yoru computer; the error code it finds may be more specific that the ABS warning light.
