SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Quest front control arm bushings

That control arm is technically un-servicable and by the end of the day after finding something, then trying to wrestle these in where they work properly, probably the best, easiest and cheapest in the end is to replace the control arm.

Why would my front end shake at 40 mph than quits at 55mph?

Im just askn...Does your steering wheel also shake? I,d start small look for any thrown wheel weights, wheel bearings, I would like the front end up so that the wheel are off the ground, rock the tire top backn forth and the same from side to side. Check you wheel balance. Another thing to check would be your sway bar bushings..I know nothing about your rig so im guessing!

I have a 1997 Saturn SL with a five-speed standard transmission. It suddenly started (seemingly) skipping 1st and 2nd gears. When I'm ready to drive forward and shift the gear-shift lever to (what used...

Take out your middle console and watch your shift cables as your shifting, you may have something stuck or maybe your shift cable bushing has broken. So i would just take the console out, and try shifting in all your gears. And then you will most likely find out what your problem is. :)) Good luck. Hope this helps. I have a saturn too and I LOVE IT!!! Good choice of a car!!! James Booth

Creaking under the car

The problem is a bushing....the other problem is identifying which one it is. It is almost impossible to duplicate the squeak if the vehicle is up on the rack...or if it is jacked up on stands or ramps. You have to try a process of elimination to isolate it. WD-40 or a can of liquid wrench (just about the same thing), crawl around underneath and spray one bushing at a time. It is some work to jack it up and drop it down but at least you can narrow it down.
