My van is throwing too much gas and is fowling the plugs, and wont start.
however i am getting spark, and if i pull the plugs and clean them, it trys
to start but runs rough and blows black smoke, until i reach 3/4 throttle
then clears out, but then dies when i let off the gas.
i have changed map sensor, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and still same symptoms.

What is the problem when no fuel is going into the carb from the injector but the fuel pump is pumping the fuel to the injector sometimes it will and sometimes not work..Is it the injector or a sensor?

Underneth the intake manold is were your fuel injector poppet nozzles are, more than likely the fuel line hose that goes thru the back of the intake is split and leaking fuel underneth the intake manifold if you check the fuel pressure you will find that the fuel pressure will drop down to 0 psi as soon as the fuel pump shuts off and it should hold pressure

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter? They're pretty cheap and easy to do and if they get clogged they can cause problems. If that doesn't work get a fuel pressure tester you can rent from parts stores like auto zone and you can test your fuel pump

I just bought a 1999 chevy astro van AWD

i am not mechanic but realise logic control senses excessive rear wheel spin and transfers some torque to front wheels. try quick take off on gravel road to see which wheels dig in or have friend spot if front wheels are driving when they should be. could be simple corrosian at wiring harness. unplug and spray with contact cleaner and re connect and re try. this wont cost you anything.

Chevy astro van turns over but wont start when

Check to see if the fuel pump is kicking in,
when you turn the key on without starting the van you should hear it kick on for about 2 seconds,

It could be...
A clogged fuel filter...
Blown fuse for the pump..or bad pump relay..
No gas
Bad fuel pump

1994 s 10 will not start

check your oil. pull the dipstick and smell the end of it. find out if you can smell gas in the oil. If so the car won't start because it is fuel fowled. change the plugs. be aware this will only solve the problem until enouph gas gets back through and fowles them again....... have it checked to find out why you gas is getting to your plugs.
