Sounds like air in fuel line. Purge fuel line. By "crank", do you mean engine spins but won't catch? Try starter fluid in intake.

9004/9007 headlight socket on a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM. Wiring colors are different for the three prongs. Have light blue, dark blue and red. Followed previous wiring but the new bulb is dim.

Use a digital multimeter check for proper voltage. You also need to check for a good ground. In the diagram, the top wire at head lamp is voltage, headlamp switch on. The bottom wires are ground. Your headlamp switch/dimmer are part of the ground circuit for headlamps. You might be able to use redundant ground with jumper wire to see if lamp will brighten? If it does, problem on the ground circuit, either wiring itself or headlamp/dimmer switch.

2001 grand am se1 factory radio wiring

The person asking this question has a PONTIAC GRAND AM SE, NOT a Grand Prix. (Not the same car).If you will go to any local auto parts store they will carry the repair manual for your car. The repair manual has the wiring diagram for all the wiring in your car in the back part of the manual. It will be called the HAYNES Auto Repair Manual for the year of your Pontiac Grand Am SE. I just dont understand how some people can be so ignorant as to excessively cut wiring out of a car when they dont even know what they are doing. Go figure. lol. If there is a college or a trade school in your area that has courses for auto mechanics , most of them repair cars also. They usually do not charge a labor charge, they only charge for the parts needed to repair a car and also a small shop fee. If this is the case in your area give them a call asap. They can help you. I used to have a 2002 Pontiac grand Am SE 1. I now have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE 1 and I am going to sell it. If you need any more help just respond back. Hope this helps.

I own a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire SE 4 dr When I start the car I have no DRLs Turning on the headlights the driver side is very dim Shifting the car into drive the DRL indicator on the dash clicks on roughly 10...

The common problems with DRL system is wires open circuit near the windshield washer tank. The wiring harness to the headlights.

You have to find the wires that are in open circuit or corroded
hint : after removing the isolated tape pull each wire one at a time and you should find the open circuit

Just had the engine replaced in my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. Now, the headlights are screwed up. Either the brights work and the dims don't, OR the dims and dashlights work and the brights don't. Have...

Have you considered going back to the place that replaced your motor. They surely are responsible for not making things worse. You just asked for a different motor and not all the electrical issues. Don't throw parts at it.
