SOURCE: intake manifold installing..... difficult?

i replace the intake manifold on my 98 crown vic . its was easy just take your time take pictures. the hardest part for me was two bolts in back of the heads facing the firewall once you get those it quite easy after that. plus you save your self a least 500.00 dollars. good luck

SOURCE: 99 crown vic police interceptor steering wheel??

i have ran into 2 issues in these vehicles---if it binds while sitting still also, check the steering shaft, i have found the u-joints in the shaft tighten up and binds dangerously tight---if they are free, sounds like you may have a steering box issue or restriction in a line---hope this was helpful!!

My 1999 crown victoria leaks coolant when i park it but just sometimes what might be my problem

What angle is the car parked when it does leak? The biggest problem that I have encountered with the Crown Vic is that the intake manifold is plastic and they have a tendency to crack, usually at the rear of the engine but sometimes near the upper radiator hose.

The temperature gauge sending unit is located in the front section of the intake manifold, just to the right of the alternator on the 4.6L engines. Got this from autozones repair manuals

I had my intake manifold replace and my car started up then less tham 30 seconds my whole car shutoff. i found water in my oil pan drained it and replace all fluies and it still won't start up

water in oil pan? try taking out the spark plugs and turning car over. Is there coolant/water coming out? If so you need Head gaskets or intake gaskets weren't done properly. If this problem wasn't there before gaskets were done I'ld strongly suggest looking at intake gaskets again.

I have a pretty bad water leak behind the engine in my '94 Crown Victoria. Could it be intake manifold, freeze plug, or heater core?

Well, yes, the leak that you describe could from any of those areas, but not likely the heater core. Heater core leaks totally fog out windshield...

More likely causes are cracked coolant hoses, take a mirror and look around. If you do not find the leak, you need to add pressure, it should show up...

On my 1983 Crown Vic, the water disappears and I'm not sure where its going. new water pump, thermostat, ran great for 6 months after these were installed. not leaking, radiator was flushed out, new oil...

There is a chance the water it' been burn by the car . It's posible that a internal leak between the Intake manifold gasket or the head gasket going thruogh the combustion chamber.
A good idea will be to perform a radiator pressure test to determine that, also you can have your sparkplugs inspected for signs of an abnormal condition, sometimes they can tell you a lot.

I got water coming out the back of my engine some one say its the freeze plug the guy i brought it from say its a hose 97 crown vic

there is a coolant hose that runs under the upper section of the intake manifold, this is the most likely source of the coolant leak, u can't really see the hose until u remove the pper intake..
