Nissan X-trail air-conditioner comes on when fan turned on

Nissan X-Trail ST-L model
When the fan switch is rotated on, the air-conditioner turns on as well. Why? Is this normal?

there is a big nut that is part of the fan clutch that unscrews from the water pump .I use a long punch to break it loose then a big adjustible wrench.

it is the resistor pack that runs the blower motor it is shorted to the hi position

Suggest air intake leak somewhere. Possibly in air intake system after MAF sensor letting in false air.

How do i set the time on a nissan x trail?

On my 2003 ST T30 X-Trail the radio is called SY702, this is printed to the right hand side of the number 6 button.
Turn the ignition to ACC, turning the radio on.
Press and hold both 'AUDIO' and 'AS' simultaneously for 3 seconds. Clock display will start flashing.
Release 'AUDIO' and 'AS'
'1' button advances the hours.
'2' button advances the minutes.
When you're finished setting the clock, press 'AUDIO' to lock the time in. Ant :)

2006 Nissan X Trail---Why does rad fan seems to run a lot?

you may want to check to see if it is overheating causing the fans to run a lot, or you have a bad thermostat that is stuck closed and needs replacing. it also could be shorted to be powered constantly, maybe a relay problem, or even a bad cooling fan sensor that shows the engine temp hotter than it really is.
