    if your speedometer is the only gauge not working check the vehicle speed sensor. If none of the gauges work check your fuses.See your manual. call autoxpresstech.com

if the odometer is working then the problem is with the speedometer head unit as the odometer gets its information from the same source as the speedometer. you can have the speedometer head checked and fixed if its fixable.

Speedometer, RPM meter, and audio system is not working. along with the lighting for the speedometer.
Sounds like a fuse to me it's very rare for several components to fail at the same time however one fuse can run several areas of a vehicle.
The fuses and their locations also a list of what they cover should be at the back of your owners manual if not you could do a search online under fuse locations for your model.

Where do i find speedometer fuse in a vw polo vivo?
There is no fuse just for the speedometer . There are main battery supply fuse's for the instrument cluster . If the speedometer isn't working i'd look for VSS - vehicle speed sensor not working or the instrument cluster needs replacing , not a fuse . Your best bet , have a qualified repair shop check it out .

Speedometer not working chevy ss 2003
GM had gauge cluster problems from 2000-2005. Bad stepper motors. On those units you have to replace the cluster or rebuild it with new stepper motors.

1990 Legacy: speedometer not working...
The first thing you can always do is check your fuses. there might a blown fuse that need replacement.The 1990 Legacy has a mechanical speedometer . The speed sensor is a read switch in the speedometer head itself. So if your speedometer is functioning ( needle working properly ) then the internal read switch is defective. That requires replacing the entire speedometer OR it can be a defective connection between the speedometer and the ECU.If the speedometer is not working, then you can have a defective speedometer, cable, speedometer cable adapter ( on the tranny ) or internal speedo gear in the tranny. Speedometer not working
rlane104, if you disconnect the wire that hooks up to the sensor but leave the power hooked up. Then turn the key to on and look at the speedometer. If it moves all the way over to the other side and back or some movement, then the speedometer works. If it doesn't, then you have a bad speedometer. Check all your fuses and there should not be an inline fuse. Maybe if its an external or aftermarket, then there might be a fuse in the unit itself. But, recheck all your connections.
