Gas cap door won't open
SOURCE: Subaru Impreza gas cap door won't open
If there is one - In trunk - directly behind the gas filler door - behind trunkliner (carpet)
The cable should not have any problems... use a partner to hold the door release and try and pry it open with your fingers.
The spring popper may be bad.
Try this if you dont have an assistant :D
I had this problem with my STI -- easy to fix by bending the little metal on the inside of the fuel door that provides the spring action to open the door. 5 second fix

There is a cable between the lever and the door release mechanism. Either that cable has come loose or is broken, you can gently open the door with a small screw driver by pushing on the release mechanism.
SOURCE: won't open my door when
can you manually unlock the lock and open the door?? Is it more than one door or just one specific door? If its just one door, yourcactuator inside the door may be bad or you have a wire issue. If its all the doors, more than likely you blew a fuse or a relay(id say fuse)
