Most have a dial or button on the cluster , for mph and kph , if its a digital dash the owners manual should have it in appendix under speedometer , last resort call the dealer with youre vin number located on left hand corner of dashboard behind windshield

Speedometer reads 60 when doing 35

Pete, is there any chance your speedometer is in Kph and you think it is in Mph. 60 kph = approx. 37 mph.
If not, I would say you need to replace speedometer.

Mercedes problems

if your cluster is mechanical, then it is not possible to change the settings. you can attempt to get a genuine cluster from Mercedes Benz by using your VIN and request for a cluster that displays KPH.
However, if your cluster is Digital, or uses an LCD display, then you will need a STAR DIagnosis tool, hook it up to the car, and perform something known as SCN Coding to the cluster. There you will have the option to change it from MPH to KPH

Speedometer runs faster than actual speed

on my 2000 buick lesabre there is a button 2 inches down from the millage reset button on the console just left of the steering wheel. When depressed this button switches your speedometer from mph to kph. From american to metric. So yes it will be faster that what your going because your set for kph. Just click that button with the ignition key all the way on and your speedometer should revert back to the good old usa mph.

How do I change my Speedometer from MPH to KPH

If it's digital there's a button somewhere I'm sure. However if it's a printed read out, then the cluster has to be changed over...however it should also read both. This is a common issue for service men bringing vehicles back from Europe as did I in 1998. Hope this helps !

Speedometer isnt reading right....EX: if im going 40 the speedometer says im going 65

From the sounds of it the vehicle computer was switched from mph to kph. You should be able to change this back using the driver information center located above your stereo under your settings options. 40mph=64.4 kph. If you have your owners manual available may want to consult that how to completely change it back.

Speedometer

THE SPEEDOMETER OR THE ODOMETER? THE SPEEDO TELLS YOU HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING AND ODOMETER READS THE MILAGE OR KILOMETERS TRAVELED.
IF YOU MEAN THE ODOMETER THEN THE CAR IS PROBABLY FROM CANADA AND CAN NOT BE CHANGED. I'VE RUN INTO THIS BEING NEAR THE CANADIAN BORDER.
I AM NOT SHURE IF YOU CAN CHANGE OVER TO A NEW CLUSTER (INSTRUMENT PANEL) LEGALLY OR NOT. CALL YOUR LOCAL D.M.V. AND THEY CAN TELL YOU. THE MILAGE WOULD HAVE TO BE CONVERTED AND THEN THE MILAGE STORED IN THE ENGINE/TRANS. COMPUTER WOULD NOT MATCH THE ODOMETER READING. SORRY HOPE YOU CAN FIND A SOLUTION IF YOU NEED TO.
IF YOU MEAN THE SPEEDOMETER THE THERE IS A ENGLISH/METRIC BUTTON TO PUSH TO CHANGE THE DISPLAY. GOOD LUCK..

Speedometer reads in KPH, can this be changed?

Go into setup menu in the DIC til you see unit measure! Then select unit measure and everything will be back to normal. One is for kph and celcius, Liter/100km, fuel liter used etc and the other one is for mph, farhenheits, mpg, fuel gallon used etc.
