Our cd player doesnt accept cd's. It doesnt seem to power up but the rest of the radio works fine including cassette player.
If I unplug all the wires from the CD player won't the security system lock up my stereo system? Which means that I have to go to a dealer to get the code from them.

ok they had the radio out of the vehicle, long enough where they had to put the code back in. Everything works except CD player, that doesnt seem to power up at all. We cant even get a CD into it. Any suggestions? It is a JBL multi cd
unplugged and still seems like there is no power to cd player.
I have a 1997 toyota land cruiser that has a cd player that will not take a disk. It is the original radio. I would like to keep the original radio in it. Can you help me with it?
Try this: Remove the radio from the dash. Unplug all of the wiring connectors from the back of the radio. Wait for a minute or 2; then plug the radio connectors back in. If you hear the CD motor start to run, your problem will be fixed...I have had success with this trick; and, for some reason, removing the fuses does not duplicate this fix; the connectors need to be physicaly removed from the radio; try it, and let me know if it fixes itself.
