Not getting fuel . cant hear pump when i turn key on.will run with startng fluid sprayed into throttle body

I would check the fuel pump relay
It is,,,Right behind the battery under the hood. Pull off the black cover with two turn clips and it should be the second relay if you're looking at the car.

97 Jeep Wrangler, Not getting fuel. I changed the Fuse, Don't know where the fuel pump relay is. Had fuel pump replaced One year ago.

Having the fuel pump just replaced that morning doesn't mean that isn't the problem. Check it! The fuel pump relay is a good place to start though. The relay, and a few others, are in a box under the hood. Can't remember exactly where, but shouldn't be hard to locate. Try one of the other identical relays in the box (swap them) and see what you can find out.You need to answer a couple of questions. Is the fuel pump getting power/activating/working? Is the fuel pump getting fuel? The answers and the specifics around the answers lead to some other troubleshooting to try.

2000 jeep wrangler 4.0l no power to fuel pump

Check your relays. Find where you've got power and where it stops... you'll find the problem. Good Luck. "It's always something simple."

On my 1997 jeep wrangler, What would cause the automatic shut down relay kick in and shut down the fuel pump and the spark and fuel injectors it is a 4.0

I'm just guessing, but there is sometimes a switch near the rear that when triggered by a rear in collision would shut off the fuel pump etc. It would be located in trunks of cars. Not sure about your jeep.

No power to fuel pump

Besides the fuses there is also a fuel pul relay. should be located under the hood in one of the relay and fuse boxes. It should be listed on the chart on the inside of the relay/fuse box cover.

Engine noise (clacking) in 1988 jeep wrangler

Is your car injected or carbureted? which engine? If you have a mechanical pump mounted on the engine, yes they can make noise but it's rare. Use a long bar and place it on the pump and listen with your ear to the bar. If noise isn't there, check valve comer for noise. (careful around the fan & belts)

I cannot locate the fuel pump realy in my 1987 Jeep Cherokee 4wd, 4.0L engine with fuel injection.

Fuel pump relay should be under hood in main fuse block..Check the inside of cover for exact location there.
