You may need to run some injector cleaner into your fuel system and also might want to put an additive in to burn off in water that has been introduced into to your gas tank via the gas pumps. Also when is the last time the fuel filter was changed?

2002 Chevy silverado, at speeds of 60+ mph, it feels like the transmission slips or it sputters(hesitates), but only at high speeds

Are you certain that it is the transmission and not the engine misfiring? I would recommend scanning your onboard computer network to BEGIN proper diagnosis.

97 ford expedition cutting off at idle . it was skipping and hesitating under strain . had it checked by a computer and it said egr valve and number 6 cylinder misfire . i changed egr valve , plugs, wires...

pull wire off # 2 see if idle changes if not there s no spark... test coil....test all vacuum lines for leaks also. if all good then idle speed sensor.

Hesitation when cold, no power, sometimes runs relatively smooth. Backfires when pushing to floor. You can drive forever being gentle with gas pedal.

you have a misfire occurring is the check engine light on if so you need to do a code retrevial it may tell you which cylinder is misfiring or it may give you a po300 code which just says random cylinder misfire.if this vehicle has not been tuned and has several miles on it you would probably do well with tune up

1992 crown vic with 78K miles. Started skipping

Replace you Maf sensor and have a nice day. lol does the hesitation go away when you let off the gas. does it buck hesitate and misfire under load? most common problem is the maf sesnor.
easy to change. don't buy a used part it may develop the same problem after a little while. you can try cleaning the wire inside with brake cleaner (not intake cleaner). it may or may not help.
