There are quite a few that connect. Did you follow it back from the fuse box? Maybe more information would help clarify. Is the fuse box already out of the vehicle, what type of vehicle is it as wiring is different for each model..

People say to runderstand a wire from the ********* one in the fuse box to the stereo for it to work by egnition on vw crafter there isn't a ********* only red any help please

The color doesn't matter. What you want is power from the accessory bus. I usually pick an empty fuse slot on the row that is only hot when the key is on. I connect the stereo wire to the cold side of the fuse slot and put a 10amp fuse in. You need to connect your wire to the BACK of the fuse slot so the wire doesn't stick out the front of the panel. Ok?

How do I run a wire from the ignition harness to the aftermarket radio? There is two pink wires and idk which one to use

If the stereo wire or the stereo has it's own fuse, you can connect it to a large accessory wire, but I usually find an empty slot in the fuse box on the accessory bus and put a 10 amp fuse there. The accessory bus is a row or column that is only hot when the key is on. You can tell the accessory bus from the other fuses--they should be things that only work when the key is on. It is best to verify you are connecting to accessory using a voltmeter. If you mistakenly connect to battery, you will drain your battery over night.

No power stereo

sometimes there is a fuse on the back of the radio as well... and if its good, check all your fuses in your box. Check for poor installation of radio, such as black tape instead of wire connecters etc.

there is a bulky relay probably under the hood ,
I believe it conked out on you due to too much load or a short , 1st of all , connect your stereo directly to your battery both positive and neative...
Then buy the shop manual and find the master relay for all the electricity suplied to the mensioned parts...
It would also be a good idea that you make sure NEGATIVE cable is got a solid cnnection and also connect a 4 guage ground wire to the engine... preferably right to the alternators bottom bolt .
Also check the wire delivering juice to the fuse box itself , chances are the wire melted it self seperate , as the fuse might have been too high a number...

I took out the stereo of my 2000 outback and put it back all wires plugged in and it wont turn on any ideas of what might be the issue?

check your fuse box and see if your radio fuse is blown if it isnt you should try connecting the yellow and red wires from the radio and the harness all together and see if it comes on. if it does theres a problem with the main power supply (red wire from the harness). quick fix : run a new wire from the red on your stereo to the fuse panel and connect it to the radio fuse.

2004 sunfire ignition key wire does it have one/ instaling new radio only have constanyt 12 volt radio power on off button does not shut off do i use this wire and where does it go the ignition wire...

Hi, your factory Sunfire wire colors are pasted below. The yellow wire should be accessory. This should connect to the stereo's red power wire. The orange "always hot" wire should connect to the stereo yellow wire--this is only used to keep your station presets in memory. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

I had a friend install a radio for me. Now the interior lights do not work. Electric locks no longer work. Speedometer needle goes crazy when I put the key in the ignition. All fuses inside and outside are...

ok, most likely he hooked up the power to the wrong place or worse disconnected an important ground connection. the fuses will not blow because current is probably being redirected to other circuits. try to remove the radio and its connections and recheck for anything that got loose or removed especially ground connections. get a wiring diagram for your car and hook up power to the accessory circuit and make sure that it is protected by a fuse. again ground wires and connections are very important. problems here can cause a lot of weird symptoms.

Battery Draining

Disconnect the stereo and watch the condition of the battery. Most of the time the stereo gets power out of the battery even when engine is off.
