This sounds like your ignition coils.Pull out a spark plug and have someone start car. if you see blue spark its something else. But if there is no spark its your coils. There are 3 of them 1 coil for 2 cylinders.Follow spark plug wire .One end is spark plug other end is ignition coils. You should hold the plug(connected to the wire)to a ground(any metal around the engine) to get a good spark. But if there is no spark its definitely your coils. You'll need 3of them, there about 40 dollars each and are as easy to change as 2 bolts.GOOD LUCK

You may have a sensor problem, or an ignition problem. I would need more info to help you.

I have a 1992 Oldsmobile 98 the car and everything runs fine I stopped my car to get gas and now when I try to turn the key it wont even turn in the ignition how do i make it turn to fire the car up

Try giving the steering wheel a wriggle left and right as you turn the wheel. Sometimes the steering lock pin has to much force on it to move easily.
Other than that the gears on the starter rod may have jumped or warn and will not mesh. That would require the steering wheel to be removed to fix.

1992 Oldsmobile cutlass ciera s 3.3 liter V6. While driving or idle in park, the idle kicks up high and the check engine light comes on. This symptom is not constant. It comes and goes sporadically. After...

Have you read out the diagnostic trouble codes? Since the check engine light has come on, there should be one or more stored diagnostic codes. Since your 1992 is before OBD-II became the standard (in the US at least) you'll need to do either the wire/paper clip method or find someone with an OBD-I scan tool for GM products.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1992 oldsmobile custon criuser

The fuel filter in the Oldsmobile Intrigue is located under the car in front of the fuel tank. The purpose of the fuel filter is to pull out any debris and sediment that may have been sucked up by the fuel pump in the tank. Harmful sediment and debris can be hazardous to the engine. Replacement of the filter should be done every 30,000 miles.

When i turn the key on everything comes on but it wont turn over what could be the problem? Its 1992 oldsmobile 98

It could be the starter. Usually if it is the starter when you get a boost it will sometimes be enough to turn the vehicle over.

I think the fuel pump is shot in a 2000 oldsmobile bravada the vehicle turns over and has good battery power however is acting like it is getting no fuel. how do I replace it. or is there something else...

I would start by spraying starting fluid in the air filter. If it starts then you will know for sure it is a fuel problem. A way you can check the fuel pump is take off the gas cap. Have someone listen where the cap was. Turn the key to the on position and the person listening should hear the fuel pump run for about 5 seconds. If it doesn't run it could be the fuel pump relay which is under the hood on the driver side. You can swap it for the one next to it temporarily. But 98% of the time it is the fuel pump. You have to drop the fuel tank. It is held up by 2 straps. And the fuel pump is in the top of the tank. You have to turn a retainer ring half a turn to get the pump out. Be sure to get the filter on the new one really good. It will ruin the new pump the first time you start the car. It will **** up dirt off of the bottom of the tank.

My car just stop starting,i will jump it,by morning it is dead,i replaced battery and alltenatior, what could it be? check engine light isnt on

there is a drain in the system,
all you need is a test light
un hook the positive battery cable
connect the test light between the positive lead and the battery terminal
if there is a drain the light will lit
remove each fuse at a time ( put it back if the light does not go out )
which ever fuse that you remove and make the light goes out, that's the one that cause the drain.
check and fix that system

No fire to start car

Pull a plug out and touch it to a bolt on the engine while turning over the engine. This will tell you if you have fire. By the way, if you don't put it on a strong ground it will ground through you, if it does that you're getting fire. If not, cap, rotor, and coil are the way to go. If you do have fire, then check the fuel pressure and timing. Don't forget to vote.

Car running jerky

It's more than likely that it is just another sensor. Is your check engine light on? Common sensors that can cause that type of problem are MAP(Manifold Absoulute Pressure Sensor) or TPS(Throttle Position Sensor). Typically the MAP sensor would turn on your check engine light and the TPS would not turn on the check engine light. Another possilble cause is the EGR Valve(Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve) and this valve also would not turn on your check engine light.

Good Luck
