P1537 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open.

You might want to look at the IMRC valve. It is probably sticking from carbon build up? Use top engine cleaner and clean the air plenum.

Once you have done this clear the codes and go for a ride. About 30 miles should do it. If you have anymore codes it will come back up.

SOURCE: I have a '96 Ford Windstar 3.8L & getting OBDII P1537 code.

A common problem on Windstars, there are two IMRC valves, the only way to fix them is replacement, which is not that hard. They are mounted on the end of the intake manifold and control runner length. There is a front and rear one, I'm not sure which one this is but you'll probably have to go to Ford to buy it and they should be able to tell you with the code number. The problem will not affect driveability that much, but if you have emissions testing at your location, this will likely cause it to fail.

Code P1537$10 whats code and how do I fix it,it is on a 2002 ford ranger with 2.3 liter engine.

DTC P1537 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open Bank 1 and 2

It controls the length and speed of incoming air for a certain engine rpm to optimize swirl, efficiency, and minimize knocking. It's long and fast for low rpm and idle, short and large volume for higher engine loads. How's your truck running? I'm guessing it would be lean at idle if it's stuck open. I would look at your vacuum lines on the intake manifold. I think it would be vacuum operated.

Keep in mind that the IMRC Valves are located on the back of the intake and are listed as an item that the dealer needs to diagnose and repair.

Hope this helps.

Trouble code p1537 on my 01 ford ranger manifold runner valve stuck open how do i fix this

Most likly you have a vacum leak
check all vacum lines to the intake manifold
check to see if the are cracked burned or just not hooked up
I hope this helps give me feed back and good luck.

Code ?

I have had the same error code. It was the vacuum line to that sensor from the intake that had a break in the line at the sensor. The sensor is located on the drivers side of the engine near the bottom. Follow from the intake next to the firewall and look down. It is easier to see from under the truck. The vacuum line comes from the intake manifold near the middle and runs down to the sensor. Also check the plug on the back of the sensor. You can also find other obd codes on google.
