Hi I have an intermittant problem with not starting there is plenty of juice in the battery but sometimes when I start there is nothing no cranking I can repeat the start about 10 times then it goes ok .
When the fault happens as I turn the key a faint click can be heard followed by what sounds like air escaping from somwhere under the bonnet. I have checked out the starter solenoid its ok. I have read that these engines were recalled for sensor issues making them cut out but I don't know if this is related. any help please?
Hi you need someone to pinpoint where the click is coming from as for the air escaping there is no air involved in starting any cars so a faint clicking is its a bad contact usually a relay but on most cars are not under the bonnet which makes me think a loose connection are the ignition lights still bright when you are trying to turn it over or do the lights go dim or nearly out if so also check your battery leads for tightness and earth leads yates210456
