1998 toyota camry
My cars check light engine came on, and we went to
autozone and got it checked, and it come back as a short/poor
connection. Also whenever I turn on my head lights the reverse and
trunk open lights come on. Is there anyway to find this short without
pulling my whole car apart or has anyone had this problem before?
It is a process...testing powers and grounds to find short/open .you need test light , ohm meter , and good wiring diagram to continue

Regarding the short circuit: Open the trunk lid. Locate & examine the wiring that comes from the driver side of the trunk, and snakes up the driver side trunk lid support. Follow the wire harness down under the rear parcel shelf; untape the wiring harness. You are prob going to find some broken/shorted wires here. This is a very, very common problem.
Regarding the check engine light; sorry, without a DTC from Autozone, I cannot comment on a solution.
