I have a yellow light on that looks like a long tool

Depends on which yellow light youre referring to. If its your engine light it would need to be checked further with a scan tool

the suggestion i can give is temporary.
look the yellow-colored connector on the driver side.
disconnect the connector.
wait for few minutes and connect it back again.
light come off for few days or so.
this can be fix by those who have scan tool and diagnose what error code(s) need to be corrected.

I think I can help here. This is the check engine light and in order to find out what is wrong you will need to get a hold of a scan tool. Theses typically look like this:


That tool hook ups to a small connector just under the dash in the drivers area. Follow the on screen directions to retreive/read trouble codes. Write down what all the codes are and get back to me and I can tell you what to fix to get that light off. You can also clear the codes with that tool but if you dont fix what is wrong then the light will some back on.

That is your check engine light. It means there is some sort of problem with the engine most likely electrical. It will have to be hooked to a scan tool to find out what is causing it to come on.

Maintenence reminder light.Usually comes on when the vehicle is due for an oil change. If oil was changed recently shop may not have reset the light.

The short answer is no.
The air-bag warning light came on. Something has gone wrong and warrants a look to see what has happened. You would need to buy a special scan-tool to look at the live data, at stored codes, and after the repair is done, then reset the air-bag system.
Please don't tamper with the yellow connectors unless you know what to do. Static charge can set off an air-bag.

the tire pressure is looked at what by is called the tps, tire pressure sensor, go to a tire dealer or go back to the dealer you bought the car from and have him re-set the tps system, this is done by using a special tool,most bigger tire stores will have this tool it works with a frequency that is in the valves of the tires.

Could it look like an engine instead of water pump?
If it is to the left of the low coolant and it is yellow it has to be the check engine light,this would illuminate if the PCM (powertrain control module) sees a fault. You will need to get someone to hook up a scan tool and retrieve the codes to help determine why it is on.

You should have 3 green 2 yellow and 1 red.This is your maintenance indicator. When the 1 (last) green light goes out and a yellow light comes on its time for a service.
