There is probably a bad wire to the fan or a fuse has blown. use test light and probe wires with key on and see if power, BE CAREFUL FAN CAN COME ON WHEN KEY IS IN ON POSITON. Is car over heating? it usually has to get really hot for the fan to work. try letting car run while in park and watch for fan to activate. Good Luck

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan Sentra Problem overheating and heater doesn't work.

I had this exact problem a few weeks ago. The repair shop first changed the thermostat. Didn't fix the problem. Next step, they found the radiator was clogged. They replaced the radiator and now everything works fine.

SOURCE: 1995 Nissan Sentra, The engine light and brake

You could have faulty altenator or short causing the battery to drain. The engine light usually comes on when anything electrical or sensor wise is faulty. Brake light will come on if, low brake fluid, e-brake handle is up.

SOURCE: no heat in 94 nissan sentra..fan works it is just

This sounds like the thermostat needs replacing as long as the radiator has the proper coolant level. If your vehicle has a temperature guage watch it to see if it is at normal operating temperature after the warm up period. If the temperature goes up and down or doesn't reach what is the normal temperature that is the problem. Normally a bad thermostat will stay open which causes the engine temperature to be much cooler than normal thus no heat.

Heating nissan sentra 1995

Have you checked to see if the thermostat is functioning correctly and is not jammed shut. That would cause overheating.

1995 Nissan Sentra GXE Overheats (Temperature rises to near max, not spewing) only when at idle. The Radiator fan works (at least it spins) I swapped relays, too and still same problem. Both fans work...

are the upper and lower radiator hoses hot when car overheats? if so check for a clogged radiator or weak water pump. if one hose is hot and the other is cold or much cooler then replace the thermostat.

2005 Nissan Sentra overheating. Changed the water pump. Did a radiator flush. What else could it be??

Some thing too check:
Make sure coolant level is up to line and clean (not dirty, do to clogged radiator, may need to be flushed or replaced).
Make sure air flow through the out side of radiator is clear (dirt, leaves, ect..) .
Make sure fan is working properly equip t (is not running too slow). Or Manual (belt driven) fan clutch is working properly, not loose or spinning too freely?
Check for broken or cracked fan blades itself.
Check radiator cap, (no gasket tears).
Could be thermostat going bad ?
Could be coolant temperature sensor/switch (from computer) going bad?
Check radiator hose(s) (too soft, may collapse)?
In some rare cases:
Timing could be off.
Could be water pump.
Could be blown head gasket(s).
Could have cracked head(s).
ECT..............Hope this was some help???

Do any one of you know where the Nissan Altima 1995 water temp sensor is? Do yo know how I can figure out of the two radior fans are not working due to the sensor or the fans are defective?

the 2 fans you have are not both for the radiator, left hand drive, if you face the engine the fan on your left is the radiator fan and on the left is the aircon fan.
