New battery, new-ish alternator. Running it several days and the alternator was putting out 14.6 volts. Last night in fog and rain I had the headlights, heater fan, wipers going then turned on the rear window defogger and the alterntor light went on. Now the alternator isn't putting out juice with all the accessories off. Is there a fuse for the alternator circuit that I may have blown? Fuse box under steering wheel does not list anything for alternator. Secondary fuse panel at passenger side has 3 fuses, all visibly look OK. Does anyone know if there's an inline fuse to the alternator control circuit and where it would be? Or suggest an idea to test the alternator control circuit?
You may find a blown fusible link or burnt wire/bad connection at the starter large terminal.I would start the car and check voltage output at the alternator output terminal first in case it's just a bad alternator. If you have 14+ volts at the alternator output terminal, you could also just run a 10 gauge wire from that terminal to battery positive directly and disconnect the alt feed to the starter terminal.

Are the 2 connectors (male) fitted tightly on the rear window? Sometimes you have to have them resoldered. I used special electric glue. Canadian Titr. You can also use alum. duct tape. Good luck.

You probably have a bad switch. If your hi beams work then the fuse is good.

Check the blower motor connector first. Turn it on an wiggle connector. These will lose connection over time.

pecoslarry, One of the most common problems with power windows is the wires coming from the door to the vehicle. Seeing that you have confirmed that the windows work with a different power source tells me that you should cut the rubber boot, that goes from the door to the vehicle, open and check for any broken wires. This happens because the drivers door is the one opened most often and the wires get bent back and forth until they break. You seem to have done everything else that I would have suggested so try this and No there is no inline fuse. Good luck with this.
