Follow the positive cable from battery, and you will find it ! did you change starter solinoid with the starter! the clicking and will not turn over is caused by battery, starter solinoid, or bad battery cable. The starter solenoid on many Ford vehicle's is on the inner fender well, The terminals should be free of corrosion and should tighten up well.
When the connections are tight you should not be able to twist them by hand.

good-day !

Check the starter. You may have a bad selanode. Or possibly lose wires at battery or even at the starter. Any parts store can bench test the starter foe you

I have a 1996 Ford Taurus GL I was driving home from work about 2 weeks ago the car started up and ran everything's fine going to work but on my way home it started up fine and everything but literally...

If you knew why it stopped running in the first place, you may find out why it wont do anything at all now.
When you say it won't turn over, you do mean , when you turn the key, nothing happens, right ? Does the starter engage at all ? Does something click under the hood ? Any noises ? Can you hear the fuel pump whirring ?

2006 Ford taurus won't start, starter, altlernator, battery replaced, ignition starter switch, neutral safely switch changed, still nothing

I looked at info for your security system, it is starter motor disable. I didn't see 06 ford Taurus in my database, so I looked at 05.
Battery has a full charge and battery connections all good?
We can usually do some tests to see if starter motor will crank the engine, but, if the security is the problem, it still won't start.
You can check for applicable trouble codes? Try a different key?

I would check the wires on the starter, it might have a bad connection, also your starter might be bad.

My car wont start light come on dash works when turn over engine it just click click click then nothing tried new battery dot work i have a 2002 ford taurus please help cant afford machinic

Hello. Begin by cleaning the battery cable connections with emery cloth. do both ends, the ends at the battery posts and the other ends too. Now make sure everything is really tight and try it again. If you still get the clicking sound, your starter is bad and will need to be replaced. A rebuilt starter is a good choice.

2003 ford taurus when u go to start it it just clicks new starter battery good won't start just clicks

If you can verify that the battery is good then I would say that the starter itself has failed. This clicking you hear is the solenoid on the starter attempting to engage the starter.

1999 Ford Taurus Wont Start

Tapping the starter does not always work. I would check all the connections on the battery and starter. If these are good replace the starter. Don't forget the grounds.
