what else did you have done that would have required the steering wheel removal
there is no connection between a steering knuckle ( ball joint ) and the steering wheel problems you describe
This problem is usually due to a failed vehicle speed sensor but I would check the connector and wiring first and then test the sensor before replacing. Cannot provide details without model and year info.
So , the power door locks won't lock or unlock with switches inside the vehicle or with the keyless entry remote fob.??? Is this correct ????
Do you know what a BCM - body control module is ? Do you know what diagnostic trouble codes are ? If not your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a GM dealer or someother qualified repair shop.
DTC B3142 or B3143
The body control module (BCM) provides an output to the driver switch assembly through the door unlock control circuit for controlling automatic door unlock, anti-lockout, and keyless entry unlock functions.
DTC B3152 or B3153
It could be the driver door master switch , could have broken wires inside the rubber boot from the body to the door . Do the power windows work ?
The keyless entry system has the following main components:
• The transmitters
• The body control module (BCM)
When you press a button on a transmitter, the transmitter sends a signal to the BCM. The BCM interprets the signal and activates the requested function.
How did you do this ,,checked and made sure locks and remote programmed, they were, but still do not work ?????
Need a scan tool to program
Important: All key fobs must be programmed each time any one fob is programmed. The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
Install a scan tool and navigate to the BCM Module Setup menu.
Select Program Key Fobs.
Follow the scan tool on-screen directions.
When the programming operations have completed, operate the transmitter functions to verify correct system operation.
Did you open the door with the key? or the remote? If it was the remote then lock and unlock the door with the key and then it should start working. I noticed that some cars that get locked from inside then opened with remote does that,.
good day, no need to worry, it just have to be a fuse problem, just replace the radio fuse and everything will be back to normal. hope this helps, have a nice day
there is a short in the car's electrical system drawing power from the battery, causing an interuption in the power (hence the clock resetting) and killing the battery. An experienced electrician should be consulted
there is a pink wire that is an all time power wire and it has lost power I just had the same problem so what I did it I took the stereo out of the dash "mine is aftermarket" I then ran a wire form an orange wire under the steering wheel "which is hot with the key off" and then from that orange wire to the pink wire behind the stereo and everything started working again like it was supposed to. If you have any more problems email me at [email protected] and ill try to help
Evaporator vent silenoid at rear by gas tank is most likely stopped up. Is the check engine light on? If so, take to Auto Zone and get them to scan it for free. Get codes only and post them.
