Defroster not defrosting the windshield

I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo where on this colder mornings no matter if I run the defroster on cold or warm, the windshield won't defrost? There is plenty of air coming out the front middle defrost vent but no change in the foggy glass? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice.

I have the same problem. I believe it is a leak in the heater core which is very expensive to fix. Have you had anny luck?

Check your heater core

see if you can smell anti/freezewhen the heat is on, if you can most likely the heater core is leaking and needs to be replaced

Knob on air conditioner not working right and cruise control stopped working at same time

It is a vacuum leak under the hood. If it is a six cylinder, look on the driver side of the intake manifold for a L shaped fitting that usually pops off. If it is a V8 the leak may be near the battery.
