How hard is it to replace the elsectrical line leading into the fuse box?

I ran off the road into a mudd field and the emergency crew cut the cord that leads into the fuse box. Its what they would normailly do thet the battery wire, but the battery is underneath the seat instead of under the hood. I need to see how hard it will be to reconnect the line, so that I can get my car working again.

You'll have to splice extra wire onto each conductor and seal both ends of each splice with special 3M tape to keep out moisture. You'll also have to match the wire gauge of each wire. Very tedious job, but doable as long as you take your time and don't take shortcuts.

Wiring off-road lights to the fuse box

My best advice is to put in an in line fuse. You can buy them at wal-mart for less than $8 bucks. Its easy, cheap, and saves your lights.

Power Point in 2004 F-250

Look in your manual for the Power Distribution Box reference in Roadside Emergencies. It should be located under the hood on the driver's side. My 2002 Explorer has two power points on the center console and the 20A fuses in the Power Distribution Box for them are number 7 and number 9. They cost $3.99 each at AutoZone. The cigar lighter fuse under the dash is unrelated.
