SOURCE: when I start the engine from cold it runs on high revs too long

Hi ..... This sounds as if it's fitted with an automatic choke, as long as the revs drop when it's warm there is nothing to worry about. The indication when these start to go wrong is that the car won't start when cold ................ even then any decent mechanic can fit a normal/manual choke.

SOURCE: Goes into limp mode computer saysimobiliser fault

The best $100 dollars I ever spent car repairing is a OBDII scanner. This lets you diagnose your own problem. Even if you can't fix it you can direct your mechanic. I am not familiar with code 1630 on your Mercedes.

My c320 cdi sport 08 i think has gone in to limp mode, the engine management light has come on, there is no power at all when I put my foot down. it occurred whilst I started the car in a hurry. I didn't...

Try un- attaching the battery. Like vw the bmw can go into limp mode with any battery problems. You might have to clear any fault codes though. While your at it make sure the terminals on battery are clean. Think you might be surprised.

You need to have the computer scanned. It sounds like you went into limp mode and need to find the source of the fault.

Vauxhall combo duel fuel/engine management light comes on and i lose power

The engine has gone into limp mode because of a fault. When this happens the engine managment system shuts down some of the power to prevent damage to the engine and its components. Best bet is to take it to a garage and have them run a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes are showing.
